UNRAVEL THE MYSTERY WITH THESE FAQs

What kind of car wash is this?

Sasquatch Car Wash is a 120’, state-of-the-art express tunnel with a hybrid cleaning system that uses carefully formulated chemistry, a soft foam and cloth friction component, and high-pressure water to wash your vehicle effectively and safely. It has a dual conveyor belt system that accommodates a wide range of vehicles and is easier to board and disembark. For interior cleaning, there are 16 vacuums stalls with high-powered suction technology and high-pressured air dusting tools for getting into all interior vents and crevices. Interior cleaning tools are complementary with any wash purchase or membership package. Unlimited monthly memberships are available as well as single wash purchases.

Is it touchless?

No, Sasquatch Car Wash is an express tunnel with a hybrid cleaning system that uses both chemicals and friction to wash the vehicle. We use similar chemicals as in touch-free washing, but in lower concentrations. This, along with gentle friction from soft cloth gets the whole car clean, including crevices and angles without any damage from over exposure to harsh chemicals.

Is it full service?

In an express tunnel, drivers stay in their car while traveling through the tunnel. Employees will assist drivers entering and exiting the tunnel. For interior cleaning, upon exiting the tunnel customers can choose to pull into one of the 16 complimentary vacuums stalls powered by a powerful central vacuum and high-pressured air tools for cleaning interior vents and crevices.

What is the clearance? What size vehicles will it accommodate?

The clearance requirements are 86” high, 96” wide and no length or tire width restrictions. The dual conveyor belt system is more accommodating for low-profile vehicles and wide trucks. There are lots of variations of vehicles, so if you have concerns about if yours will fit, pull in and talk to an employee first.

Isn’t it better to wash cars at home?

The Washington State Department of Ecology (DOE) publicly supports and encourages commercial car washes in place of self-washing in residential driveways. Commercial car washes are subject to strict environmental regulations which prevent untreated water (contaminated with soaps, phosphates, chemicals, dirt, oil and road residue) from entering into the stormwater systems that lead directly into our lakes, rivers, streams and Puget Sound. The suggested way to wash your car at home is in your lawn where the contaminated wastewater does not run directly into the stormwater system. We think everyone (Bonney Lake residents, fish, our neighbors downstream, and perhaps a sasquatch or two) will appreciate our help in keeping the water clean. And you get a clean car without having to put away the hose.

How much will it cost?

We have three different car wash packages. Graphene coating is available for any wash package, and costs $4.

How will the membership work?

Monthly memberships mean you can wash your car as many times are you like for the month. Our system will read your license plate upon driving up to our kiosk, and wash your car accordingly. The membership will be charged monthly on the day you signed up. It will be attached to the vehicle itself, and not to an individual driver. You can cancel your membership at any time.
